Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases

Depending on the severity of the condition treatment of cardiovascular diseases can be provided either on an outpatient or inpatient basis. And such urgent conditions as myocardial infarction, acute circulatory failure, severe heart rhythm disorders, prolonged attack of paroxysmal tachycardia, paroxysms of cardiac fibrillation, atrioventricular block and others require remedial measures performed in cardiac intensive care unit.

Treatment methods of cardiovascular diseases can be divided into two large groups:
- drug treatment;
- non-drug treatment (surgical intervention and endovascular therapy).

Modern cardiology is aimed at minimizing the required drug therapy, stabilizing circulatory dynamics and improving exercise and daily stress tolerance. It also tries to improve the overall health as well as significantly reduce the risk of complications caused by the underlying diseases by means of non-drug treatment methods.
